 Blog Post: Reflecting on Our Group Presentation Over the past few weeks, our class worked on a group presentation that focused on several major topics shaping our world today:  healthcare ,  our environment and the safety of people ,  education ,  the economy ,  immigration , and  families . Each of these topics represents a critical issue in society, and together, they form a larger picture of how communities function, grow, and face challenges. Our task was not only to research and present facts about these topics but also to  conduct interviews  with real people to understand their personal experiences and perspectives. This combination of research and real life input made the project much more meaningful and eye opening for me.  These past few weeks, our class explored major issues affecting people today healthcare, the environment and safety, immigration, education and  economy. Even though each topic is different, hearing real stories from the people they interviewed made me realize how connected they all are. Instead of just reading information from articles, we got to listen to actual experiences, and that made everything feel more real and meaningful. One of the topics that stood out to me the most was healthcare. Learning how expensive and complicated the system can be, especially for people without insurance, opened my eyes. Hearing about people avoiding the doctor because they can’t afford it honestly shocked me. It made me see how healthcare affects way more than just someone’s physical health. When a person can’t get proper medical help, it affects their school, work, routine, and overall opportunities.
